I began a devoted practice and study of yoga in 2001. I've been teaching since 2005, and have practiced Ashtanga Yoga daily since 2012.

I completed two in-depth trainings at The Temple of Kriya Yoga in 2005 (classical Hatha), and Moksha Yoga Center in 2008 (Krishnamacharya lineage based) in Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, I was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga in a workshop with Kino MacGregor soon after having my second child. The practice was healing for me on many levels, and I've maintained a daily Ashtanga practice since.

After moving to the Twin Cities area in 2013, I continued my practice and study with Ellie Wannemacher, KPJAYI-Authorized teacher by Sharath Jois. Two years later, I started an apprenticeship with Ellie in the Mysore classes at Ashtanga Yoga Minneapolis. Through years of apprenticing, I directly experienced how to teach the method. I taught many Mysore classes at Ashtanga Yoga Minneapolis during these years. In 2016, I practiced with Sharath Jois in NYC while on his U.S. tour.

I teach group, private and corporate classes, workshops, and assist in teacher training programs in the Twin Cities area. The Ashtanga method has profoundly improved the quality of my life. I am dedicated to continue a daily practice to keep learning and growing as a student and teacher. I encourage a breath-centered practice to help calm the mind and turn attention inward while benefiting the body—aiming to unite body, mind, and spirit.
